For a number of years I gave the Offertory Prayer at my church.  I often mentioned to the congregation a truth that God had displayed to me an almost innumerable number of times:  God Can Bless You Financially WITHOUT Giving You More Money!

The reason this is such an important statement/fact is that so many people believe that their problems would be solved if they just had more money.  The thing is, that is not the case!  You see, The Word tells us that “God will meet all your needs, according to His Riches in Glory” (Philippians 4:19).   The thing is, we are so “monetary” oriented that the subtly of “our needs” is over looked in our quest for more Money.

Now, if I have already lost you – – that points directly to the subtly involved!  Maybe the best way to explain this is to give you several examples of how God has Blessed me/us Financially without giving us more Money!

A while back I decided I needed some new pants due to the amount of weight I had lost.  Chris (my wife) and I discussed it, and decided that I needed black, tan, gray and brown pants.  I checked a few Department Stores and discovered that a pair of man’s pants was running about $30.00 a pair.  I/we didn’t really have $120.00 for pants so we went shopping at the GW, better known as the GOOD WILL!  Wellllllll, we spent a few minutes alookin’ and afindin’, and, lo and behold, we got all four pair of pants for $11.00.  You see, God didn’t Bless me with an extra $100.00, but he did “provide all my needs.”

More recently, I decided I wanted to buy some shirts with narrow, vertical stripes.  I have discovered that wearing such shirts, and not tucking them in, tend to make me look much slimmer (That’s my Story and I’m sticking to it!).  Back to the Department Stores – $25-30 each.  Back to GW – 4 for $16.00!

I am just finishing up writing a lady’s biography for her, and, as of January, began praying for another “paying customer.”  My prayer was for an “account” that would yield me $200 per month.  To date, I have not received said client!  However, Chris (my wife) and I did some adjustments to our budget and was able to shave away $300 per month!  You see, God did not give us “more Money,” but He did provide for all our financial needs – – and then some!

I could, literally, write a book on this topic (and, maybe I will!).  There was the time we were having dinner guests and were blessed by finding a roast that had been incorrectly marked 9 cents a pound; or all the times we went back east and could only afford to rent a compact car and when we got there they didn’t have any so we got a much larger one FOR THE SAME PRICE!  I could go on and on and on, but I think you get the idea!  God CAN Bless you Financially without giving you more Money, because “God will meet all your needs, according to His Riches in Glory” and you can take that to the bank!
