Today I am going to violate virtually every rule of Blogging!  I am, in the next few paragraphs, going to:

• Brag on myself incessantly!
• Promote my prowess and two of my books!
• Give you very little useful information beyond my self –promotion!
• Base my comments only on my own knowledge!

Now, if you can live with all of these violations, I would like to share with you the fact that I just recently completed two books.  And, further, I would like to share a little bit about each of them with you as well.

WHEN IT COMES TO SCIENCE, THE BIBLE WAS MILLENIA AHEAD

It is important to be able to know not only know what you believe, but why you believe it.  In this day and age, there are those who firmly believe that the Word of God is archaic – especially those who are in the Scientific Community.  As a result, when you visit with those individuals and you allude to the Word as a source, you better be able to support the fact that it is accurate!

Knowing this to be the case, I took the time to examine the Scriptures and find verses that contain “Scientific Facts.”  In doing this, I divided my findings into seven sections, as indicated in the Table of Contents below:

One of the more important things I want to share with you here is the fact that this is NOT a book dedicated to combating evolution, though it may seem that way at times.  The emphasis here is, though down through the years scientific circles thought otherwise, what is recorded in the Word of God is, and always has been, “right on!”

God is My Agent: The Story of an Ordinary Christian Man

Many, many, many, many, many, many, years ago my oldest daughter, Melissa, said to me, “Dad, I know a lot about you since you met Mom, but I don’t know anything about you before then.”  As a response to that statement, I began the enjoyable, though sometimes arduous, task of writing my biography.

After discussing the format with my wife, I decided to take a little bit different slant to the book than I have seen in most biographies.  For Example, the first 16% of the book actually deals with the years prior to my birth.  In this section I talk about the lives of my Mom, Dad, and brothers before I was born.  I also discuss what I know about a number of my neighbors – mostly what had been told to me by either them or members of my own family.

Another unique aspect of the book is that I recorded all of the miracles in my life, up to the first part of 2018!  While the “day by day” part of my story only goes up to 1976 when we moved to Phoenix, I wanted to include as many of the miracles and Super Blessings as possible.

While not particularly unique, I did include a photo gallery that consisted most of photos from the time period covered, but does have a few more recent ones.  The quality of the photos from the ‘50s and ‘60s leave a lot to be desired, but at least give some idea of what I looked like “way back when!”

The last section of the book is also unlike anything I have ever encountered before, as I included what I call my “Personal Lexicon.”  It is a list of the somewhat unusual phrases and expressions that I use on a fairly regular basis, including things like “By the Ginger Cranks,” “Yellow Toads,” “Hurrah let the Puppy Jump” and “Ain’t that Right, Ole.” I did this in a three column format, where I list the expression, where it came from, and give an example of how it might be used.

When it comes to my biography, I’m not sure if many strangers are going to enjoy reading it or not, but friends and family members tell me they find themselves laughing right out loud, and that it is quite the page turner!
